Christopher Chung is a senior at William Fremd High School and a dedicated clarinetist with a passion for music and community service. He is a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and the school band, and has been a part of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra since 7th grade. Christopher has participated in numerous festivals and music camps, including Junior High ILMEA, AIJB, ILMEA District Orchestra, ILMEA All-State Honor Band, the Interlochen Arts Camp, and the Atlantic Music Festival. He has earned several awards in competitions, including winning the O’Malley National Concerto Competition (formerly the Walgreen National Concerto Competition). He was also recognized with a Merit Award and summer camp scholarship in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition. Christopher believes music is a universal language that brings people together, and he hopes to use his skills to help refugees learn and experience music. He is grateful for every opportunity to share his passion and support others through music.
